The Fairview Emergency Response Unit Special Operations Division (FERU SOD) is a specialized group of highly trained highly motivated individuals who, on top of their other duties, provide advanced mass casualty management and medical care capabilities to victims of natural or manmade disasters.  This is a service offered to our borough as well as our mutual aid towns.  In an effort to establish this level of service any perspective member must complete a barrage of training and service prior to even completing the application.  When the applicant is excepted as a probationary member they must continue their training through drills, meetings, lectures, and additional classes issued through our chain of command.  At this time only members of our organization may apply.    Founded by Deputy Chief DeFina, and through the assistance of several key members this division should serve the community of Fairview and surrounding towns for years to come.
